Turtles/Tortugas

Turtles, just like humans come in all
shape and forms. Their are turtles and tortoises in the wild. The main difference between these two are that turtles live mostly in water and are more meat eaters, wheras the tortoise live on land and feed on vegetables. Turtles come out of the water occasionally to bask in the sun. This is good because if their always in the water their shell will rot. You can usually tell the difference between the two by just looking at them. Turtles have smoother shells with sharper claws and pointy snouts. A tortoise is usually a lot larger and slower, they also have shorter claws and rounded mouths good for chewing vegetables. (Photos: Jose Jimenez)
